lol, gunpla filled day
so yippie, finally start of a new month. = pocket money!!! missed the days when i was working >_< could just buy gunpla like nothing, everyday drag home a few boxes *by few, i dun mean 3 or 4. try 6 to 8, more accurate. assuming they're not those more ex ones*
nowadays, argh. need to take note where the $ go, else eat grass. lol, actually i dun really mind, hmm....jjk. eat plastic?
anyway, toh xin passed me his NG 1/144 freedom today. and wooh, i seriously underestimated it. open box, died on the spot.
seamlines down the whole arm, leg, torso and head. V fin one solid piece. head one solid piece, this one really test masking skills. male and female pegs are different from normal kits, so the "short-cut" method cannot be used effectively. and its "short-cut" as in cut something short, not "shortcut".
wooh, one look quickly close box. this kit is wah, i dare say its impossible. but we'll see how. plans for this kit:
-> panel line cutting (lol, haven't done this since my turbokat) to resemble MG.
-> plaplate details (freedom's design doesn't really allow this to be done much, so hmm)
-> erase wing design, lengthening of wings, re-etching designs to resemble MG
-> colour (duh) experiment with the following:
white (preshade magohany)
cobalt blue (postshade sky blue)
semi-gloss black (preshade purple)
italian red (shade red)
silver joints? or gunmetal? how bout steel? hmm, decisions decisions
purple foil sticker for sensors
hmm, at least i can agar agar picture the finished product in my head. oh well, back to studies 1st. this can wait until saturday.
and once that's completed, will try diorama building.

hmm.....lots of thoughts....
okay, so this week.... nothing much to talk about bah. geog exam is basically screwed as we went thru the papers, cuz i totally clean forgot about a lot of major stuff which i SHOULD include. GG liao lor.
and wooo, CNA came and film us for the GiS thing. lol, machiam PW hardcore edition. yeah, according to the email, it will be used for some educational programme. @_@ if its about gundam i dun mind, but wtf... oh, and the email the teachers received it 2 days before the filming. wow. so end up just "fake" our project lol, take out one map anyhow doodle on it then talk crap. well, at least the cameraman very very patient and friendly.
then nothing much, just hmwk hmwk hmwk. esp. thrusday, wooh....
and i seem to be losing my gundamyness. one of the very very rare times when i have 1 hr to do nothing, so i open a box of gunpla, take out manual, flip flip, put back, close box, go online LMS and read stuff. k lah, the stuff pretty useful. those reading my blog, ur better open another window and go LMS read read as well.
hmm, nothing else i can remember, except for my phone dying every 10secs. must get new batt liao. sigh.... oh, and went to lockie's house to play with his wii wii after geog paper. damn funny, go shoot away the arms and head of the enemy MS, then chase them with beam sabers. lol. or u go corner a gundam, shoot away its hands, so it can only scratch u with the vulcans. then u take a beam saber, whack it but dun kill it. repeat until it die. bwahahaha, revenge....
oh, and we have a new classmate! no, not some mystrious transfer student who came from some ulu ulu school and has a funny dark aura and every night u cannot call him for some reason that kind (read too much manga liao lol).
and he's a gundam fan as well ^ ^ good, more people to poison bwahaha. its good lah, so i can use other pple's kits to practice lol. btw he knows about sunshine plaza and some modelling stuff like airbrush, so yeah. we click pretty well.
other than that, there's a gundam 00 gunpla competition coming up. woooo. got 3 ideas liao. 1 is to make "Gundam Deathsnipe" by bashing deathscythe with gundam dynames. 2nd idea is to make "gunpla advertistment", by just painting the runner and display it with a finished version. like those adv. 3rd idea is "enact", by modding a flag into an enact.
then again, i have no time. argh! see beh sian.... say 'f' to s'pore's education system.

WAHAHAHA
woops, turns out the meet was on Saturday, not on Sunday. heng heng me and lockie knew it early *Friday night lol*, so we still had time to cheong our kits. and yes, the meet starts at 2, we have to leave at 1pm. when we started it was 11pm. so yes, 14hr to cheong out a kit.
for me it was not much problem, just had to repaint some parts into a certain colour *you'll know why later*, and do some decaling.
for Lockie, his kit is still in a sealed box O_o
so yeah, off to work. while Lockie is still preparing the parts, I've already finished most of the painting. all that's left is to do decaling when Lockie moves on to spraying.
and yes, waiting is tough. especially at 4am. played with his Wii Wii and NDS while he's still preparing the parts. nice job man, choosing a MG ver2 char zaku to cheong. tons of parts and funny funny stuff.
then afterwards, had a lot of difficulty decaling the kit. not that i have actual problems with the decals, but more of I've never decaled before, so I dunno which decals should go where. like all the caution/warning/danger decals.
and poor lockie, 5 attacks by the floor monster just that night. lucky no parts were eaten.
so yeah, really made it on time. as in, 12.50pm Lockie was still fixing his kit.
and woo, off to sty's workshop!

oh, and their skills, wooo. nice nice. just need a few more kits before I can reach that level lol.
and Tritone shared some good points about decals and where to place them. lol, i tot is just stick them wherever you like, and not so "stragedy" one. oh, and of course, lots of "lectures" and exchanges between modellers, like experiences with fuck-ups, seamlines, cement problems, and general Bandai cursing.
fun meet, would be better if I actually slept lol. was like -_- the whole time. lol, and 1st time Reeve actually praised my kit. "your shading skills improve a lot. and I like your purple-black shading." of course, constructive critisms are allowed. "your white need to mist-spray more, cuz now look more blue than white, and your brown-black shading, less black would be good" *I noticed both lol, too lazy to care actually*

okay, so the tests are finally over! except geog, bleh. physics and gp is O_o so as to say, nahbeh 1st time didn't manage to complete essay, omfg.... and i was having fun writing it summore.
today, after maths paper, jalan jalan with classmates, THEN CHEONG BACK HOME!!! set up spray booth, ITS TIME TO SPRAY!!!
open my gundam mkII box, found a nest of beetles (uh, beetle-ings? they're really really tiny, like 1mm long) inside. normally is "squish squish, where's the bygone?", but hey, beetles. my fav insects. so gently scooped them out and set them free at the nearest tree.
okay, back to sparying. continued with my long-time nvr touch gundam mkII project, and wah.... okay, still got all my skills, but need to warm up a bit >_<
and spray and spray and spray.... WAH 8PM LIAO ARGH!!!
now, this is wad i call time well spent ^ ^

like nobody's business. borrowed air compressor from Lockie, end up cannot use cuz raining. if i spray, the risk of frosting is super high. and bleedy rain is going to continue for another week at least. so confirm cannot make it for katoots meet, unless I take the risk. decisions decisions....
then everyday go school, wah, reach home KO-ed. Wednesday developed a fever that dissappeared as quickly as it came. TV fucked up, cannot play PS2. good in a way, but FUCK NO, LIKE THAT HOW I REVISE MY PHYSICS!? WARGH!!!
anyway, it did free up some time for other stuff. like revision. maths, stare at it for so long, still blur blur. die liao lah. oh well, did get around tidying up my room, some filing, and made an airbrush holder from an old hanger.
and went to build the HGUC GP02A to vent my frustration. ended up causing more frustration. Bandai's new technology and cock ideas made the joints super tight, which is good cuz its a very heavy kit. BUT the knee, omfg. super tight + a new experimental joint style where its basically like this:

so yeah, heng heng the right leg managed to be alright, but dun dare touch. left knee, wooo. plastic piece twisted and snapped off, became stuck in teh knee. see beh f-ed up. try a lot of method to fix it, cannot work. ended up halving the knee, make the solid piece hollow, put a polycap, cement it shut, made a new plastic joint, putty to the leg, kiap everything together, dump one side leave overnight dun touch. then tested a bit and volia, fixed. new leg is now more loose, so i can use one leg for balancing and another for kicking. not bad not bad. no external damage or etc to suggest that it's broken before.
and bad news always come in pairs. the left hand broke. without me doing anything. the shield its holding is way too heavy, + the added weight of the stored bazooka. the hand is 2 piece connected by a peg like this:

the hand couldn't tahan the weight, so after 5 hours just snapped. at this point in time, its 2am, so can't be bothered liao. just cement up the whole hand, and multilate the shield handle so i can just slot it into the hand.
grrrr, this week, bad for gunpla. bad for me.
anyway, its like wad the online tarot card reading say lah. this week, career is bleh, which explains all the gunpla mishaps *nahbeh, stabbed myself with hobby knife twice*
but relationships seem to b better. go band everyone like very friendly, go gunpla hunting with gunpla buddies end up happy happy around sunshine plaza and plaza s'pura. threw a huge folder of manga at a teacher, i let ur guess who ^ ^ so yeah... not a 100% cock up week.
anyway, I seem to be developing a minor attraction towards a sec sch friend. nvr blushed before when she smile at me. hmm, must be thinking too much. Vicky Vick ah, u still super cock up about ur mindset and wadever shit, so nono to BGR for now. at most can have the other BGR (Boy-Gunpla-Relationship). this yr Air lvl + next 2 yr NS + u are so totally not psychologically ready for a zar bor yet cuz u not mature enuff. so yesh, go back to your gunpla-la-land and run crying to ur plastic friends.
lol. and getting into a relationship = cashflow, time and attention divert = less gunpla = less gundamy Vick = less Vick. so yeah, getting into a relationship is suicidal, lol.

pretty average day IMHO. k, so just got back chinese Air lvl results.... I have to say, Giant God Ideon sure grants prayers accurately. was praying to Ideon for a pass, and i received a pass. nothing more nothing less. heck, it might be exactly at the border for all i know.
so ya, one part was like "why not a D!?" while the other was "woopie, i passed! lets grab a brand new gunpla today"
hmm, band was pretty great, but >_< I FORGOT ALL THE PARTS, ARGH!!! come in wrong part, play wrong stuff, aiyoh. die liao die liao.
and i keep getting a pretty bad vibe from some teachers, hmm.....
Today
woo, was supposed to go on a secret mission to NAFA to support Lockie, but early in the morning at 5.30am, i was like "fuck it, wanna zZz" and so yeah....
k, so super change of plans. ended up prawn fishing at the khatib thing. nothing much ah, just that the prawns are.... are they supposed to look like that? with those super long pincers?
lol, and the guy next to me caught a fish. yes, a fish from the prawn pool. rofl.
so nothing much, just that well, its like a bit cruel leh. not about the killing the prawn part, but about the taking back the hook from its mouth part. its like, wahlau, i bite ur lure, end up going to be dinner, then u still take away the bait from my mouth, wtf prawn! lol, so yeah..... at least give those prawn the bait.

woo, haven't been around for quite some time, so let's backtrack a little....
saturday
wah, whole day outing! was supposed to meet lockie at amk hut around 11am. turns out he's having a flight delay from the land of zZz, so off to his house for a rude awakening!
actually wanted to get work on my Gundam mkII model. the 22nd march meet isn't too far away actually >_< ended up just slacking away the time, playing my PS2 and watching animu. oh, 2.30 pm comes quickly.....
tapao my PS2 to bring back, its about time bwahahaha. then off to DBG for lockie to meet the Virtual-On cosplay team O_o no, i'm not taking part, just tagging along. with 2 other innocent people, elvent (or elf) and kai jian (or kai gong gong / eunuch kai) just talk-cock-sing-song all the way mostly..... wasted the whole day, which can be put to better use, like spraying my gundam mkII model >_<
oh well.... btw, watched the virtual-on guys play virtual-on, WOOH!!! all the hidden moves and funny funny stuff, + full hp complete game and etc, nahbeh..... one day must learn!
and also, grabbed a Flag on the way back.
Sunday
dragged Eunuch Kai down to the workshop, by right sty, the owner, is having some "free basic course, 3hr rush job", but turns out he sent me a PM on the forum asking me to not bring down eunuch kai, cuz the response was too overwhelming. WOOPS, didn't notice the PM. Sorry Sty!
uh, so what's done cannot be undone, ended up me, this budding noob Scale Modeller, had to teach eunuch kai on how to fix his gunpla is a "professional" manner. lol, and i had to do some impt stuff, like cut out the face from the head so can modify it for easier painting and etc. oh well, not too bad.....
but it does bring up one super impt qn: its super unfair for Sty's other $ paying students, and eunuch kai is definitely going to continue doing gunpla there, so not i dunno lah..... must ask sty see wad he want.... hmm, problems problems....
and nahbeh, cannot spray again >_< and fuck the weather, every sunday rain, nahbeh, cannot spray else will tio frosting, which sucks and is pretty much uncurable. like skin cancer for gunpla. ergh....

nothing much, just clearing hmwk and trying to stay alive. oh, also lol phy test. anyway good news from mdm selvi, saying my geog essay damn bleedy great. bwahahaha! score 1 for vick

got back lol phy test. top class, tie with zhenyu. wah, competition sia >_< i'm losing my phy throne, grades r slipping.... bad bad bad..... hey, at least now i just knocked zy off his geog throne, so i guess that's fair?
J1 in band! nice nice, big intake sia. and welcoming celebration today is very beneficial for me, cuz i tapao 2 empty pizza boxes! now, got spray booth, dun need to buy ^ ^

hey, didn't know I had this guy, this is like wad, my 3rd gunpla in my life? at that time, im still a super gundam noob, so i couldn't identify him. probably lost it during the SEED INVASION, which resulted in my huge collection of plastic friends. oh well, its good to have him around. and back to digging for sec 4 stuff....

found my collection of tomica cars, but what's most important, THE WHOLE BOX OF GUNPLA SPARE PARTS, INCLUDING THE FULL RANGE OF SPARE PARTS FOR V2 GUNDAM!!!
THANK IDEON!!! wow, just wow.... so i did plan to repair that sucker in the distant past, and basically bought a second hand imcomplete V2 from somewhere to try to repair it. its, just wow.... i have replacement for each and every single part, from V-fin to arms, legs, wings, skirt armour.....
k so after some repairs and part swaps, V2 Gundam is back to its original state. and gave Victory Gundam a swap in its polycaps (the joints basically) so it is more tight. wow.....
okay, so there's 2 new plastic friends to add into the number..... speaking of which, i lost count.... need to do a "stock check" soon, maybe during the march holidays!
