WAH, THE SINGAPORE AIRSHOW DAMN SHIOK, GOT SEE THE PLANE FLY SO NICE, SO EXCITING !!!!1!!one!
is what I would like to say.... alas, didn't make it.....
woke up late. rushed, followed instructions from a friend to np. ALAMAK, WHY ARRIVE AT TP!? gostan, cheong to np, ONLY TO SEE A BUS WITH YJC PPLE LEAVING!!! nahbeh. ah well, might as well make the most out of it. gave Lockie a call, went over to his place to fly my very own s'pore airshow on my PS2 ^_^
borrowed his compressor, and he lent me his "secret formula" to kim kim paint: gaia colour STARBRIGHT GOLD. woooooo, listen to the name u already have funny ideas in your head.
ah, rushed home with the stupid compressor and barang barang. looked thru my "emergency gunpla" *yes, I have emergency gunpla, in case i suddenly want to build smthg or celebrate some event but nvr buy new gunpla*
and I found this guy: Hyaku Shiki (or Hyakushiki, depends on which spelling u prefer)
fits the emergency (kl's b-day) perfectly. kim kim one, akatsuki is a copy or this, and I dun really need him cuz I already own another him (and a more kim version summore).
swee lah, open box, alamak, why bazooka and beam sabers gone? looked at my mee rebus (or me-toot-toot. cute little fella, that Methuss) and Dijeh, and realized I gave it to them a long time ago. okay, so at least the whole MS is still intact, with a beam rifle, so its not too bad......
yeah, not that bad.....
so open box, get down to business. woops, a bit short on time, cuz now 5pm liao. quickly sharpened the antenna, then fix some problem areas. dun even bother to clear seamlines, much less moldlines and un-aligned parts. of course, have to clear flash. its a pretty old kit, 2004, so the engineering not that great.
k, all prep for painting finished, time to paint! started with silver on the frame parts, then use heavily diluted gunmetal to mist-spary. didn't want to go with pure gunmetal as the contrast will be super huge, and look very very weird. effect came out better than I expected, but think could have used a bit more gunmetal. oh well, next colour *wash airbrush.....*
GOLD! and not just any gold, but STARBRIGHT GOLD! wooooooooo
didn't really understand wad lockie said about "must thin like fuck then can use!", so went ahead with normal procedures. 1:3 paint to thinner ratio. and WAH LAN EH, FUCKING AIRBRUSH COUGH ON MY PARTS, RUIN THE PERFECT PAINT JOB!!! ARGH SPLATTER!!! jia lat, quickly try Lockie's suggestion. final ratio when the paint is "perfect" is 1:11 paint to thinner. omfg O_o. tried to repair the splattered parts, but some still a bit obvious to the trained eye. ayah, no time liao, just fuck care.
blue and red. hmm, since my gold and gunmetal is just one tone, might as well practice my 1337 shading skillz bwahahaz and also provide some contrast to the kit, else it will look boring. effect of blue is not that obvious cuz of the colour itself, but the red WOO HOO HOO, ima 1337 modeller bwahahaz!!! so much better than I expected.
then finished up with the wiring and etc. TIME FOR 3D JIGSAW! of course, while refering to the instruction manual. realized that alamak, forgot to paint the beam rifle piping. ah nvm, look better with 1 colour anyway, suddenly pop out one yellow a bit weird and draws attention. stickers for the head is >_<, but the "hundred" emblem on the shoulder is easy, thank's to bandai's dry-transfer decals (thank you bandai!). tested out the green foil stickers for the main and rear sensors. had a very difficult time with it, and ended up giving it a lot of scratches. continued to scratch the foil stickers so it looks like it has round cameras and stuff beneath, wooo.
hmm, didn't turn out so bad. seamlines not very obvious, except at the foot. contrast of gold and blue/red is very very good, especially with the shading. must keep this in mind, lol. kept the thrusters silver, and changed the antenna colour from gold to black to give more colour to the face. now the back view is very colourful, which is a bit different from how i usually see this guy ^ ^ overall, I was aiming for the anime feel, and the colours came out pretty nicely, minus the huge blister at the wing binder cause the airbrush coughed on it >_<
k, all that's left is to build a clear box and the diorama (just a computer print-out. again, no time). >_< sry kl, but seriously no time lah......
EDIT: I just realized this is the very 1st kit which I've completed in a "profesional" style, aka not just open box, follow instruction sheet, fix and done. this one got paint ah, edit a bit ah (oi, sharpen the bleedy antenna got count okay!) this and that ah, lalala.
no wonder its not standing at my desk looking at me in a "hi dad" kinda way. and the plastic friend behind it doesn't look that pleased. lol

hmm..... full of thoughts......
woo, NSM/NMS (wad's the correct acronym anyway?) visit! Remember to fill in the reflection and survey before March! not less that 500 words! WOO!!! (faking happiness)
saw a lot of gundam. Minerva, Palace Athene, Gaia, O_o also, [censored]. u know, ancient pple lah, all nudists.
Then after that, SUNSHINE PLAZA!!! cheong gunpla..... no cash.... argh..... anyway, managed to drag home 2 kits, so not that bad. a *!!!GrAhAm SpEcIaL!!!* and Gundam Deathsnipe. lol

Then after that, sent zy, kl, pwr and chua to heaven with roti john. oh, and melon soda at Dasio. total bill for one makan? $5. and it is capable of sending u to heaven. dun believe, ask kl and zy. immediately hooked on melon soda lol.
the next day, went back to DBG area again, cuz of the GIS training. yeah, learn how to use satellite maps to bomb singapore and mark out the radius.... if scarly kena m'sia then later they complain, dun sell us water. jjk, but more or less like that lor, use satellite maps to carry out "surveys" and find the area most _____ to _____. After that went to HAG, check the sales of gunpla. argh, need $$$ need $$$.....
then its back to cheonging hmwk, one after another. and the surprise appearance of Captain Nagase from Ace Combat 5! wooh, exact same hairstyle and back. Brrrr, too much time on PS2 I guess. oh well, phy SPA tml, all the best for it, may I be blessed with the power of Ide. and rem to stay off the PS2
anyway, about the class problem, eh..... I guess I just leave it as it is bah. wed did try to get the 3 of then to gel with the class, but meh.... all sorts of funny excuses that ultimately point down to the same reason: people dun like each other's attitude, cannot click together. bleh..... shld b more sporting mah, even I dun really gel with with everyone, but at least try to like socialize a bit mah.... >_< root of the problem is both *lack of communication* and/which leads to *dun feel like communicating, but I accept bribes...*
ah, just leave it as it is bah. if touch anymore, might turn ugly. worse still, I tio banned from server. already spent whole of pri sch life like that, dun feel like doing the same >_< since now is a 0083 EFSF situation with the 13th autonomous crops running around doing their own business, and not really the EFSF-Titans situation.
ah, and dun get me wrong. the very 1st reason why I use gundam analogies is cuz the concept of gundam as a anime is this: open to personal intepretation. its just simply "here's my views on this, any thoughts or comments tell me, maybe we discuss a bit". nothing offensive intended.

@ Le Lin: 1stly Spongy roses. nope, not refering to Ms Koh's one, another classmate was busy distributing it as well. anyway, about the friendship day thing, I'm very blame-able cuz well, I didn't do anything, to be honest. for personal reasons which I'm uncomfortable to say, mainly due to sec sch bad experiences.
moving on, birthdays. yes, I do remember how we all celebrated birthdays as a whole class, but towards the end of the year, the trend is disappearing, where celebrations do not involve the whole class anymore, and its not so much about the exams. case in point, liz's. Aznor's celebration is great, exactly what I had in mind. I wanted to bring attention to it, because I wasn't expecting it to happen to anyone else actually. example: kl, zy to name a couple. of course, you can follow up with another celebration outside school among yourselves, but at least include the whole class for a mini-celebration 1st. I'm glad that this has been addressed to a point beyond my expectation, as in the case of QQ's. made me guilty that I could not offer much help >_<
would be good if the trend is continued. Dinie and Ms Koh have been working very very hard to bond us, as can be seen in the CVD day thing. but perhaps more could be done? eg. class photos and etc? like say the CVD day, just take a quick glance thru the photos, compare to the class list. of course, some of us are pretty uncooperative, but I'm trying my best to get them to take part already. I just need a bit of assistance from everyone else, and for us to be more open-minded at times. you know, people always go by 1st impression, and is hard to forgive and forget certain stuffs, disliking not-existent points about others, stuff like that.
and about reciprocation, could you explain that point a little? sorry about that, didn't really catch.
@Captain Nagase. uh Jeannie. "discrimination" was a bad choice of vocabulary on my part, but it kinda fits the seriousness of the issue at hand. anyway, this month alone with have 3 birthdays. aznor, QQ, kl. because aznor's is the 1st, its a good opportunity to voice out my views. of course, its very impatient of me to make a conclusion there and then, but see the effect? you gals quickly addressed this issue and provided me with your points of view. sorry for this pretty underhanded tactic, but i need to get the whole picture to make informed decisions.
as for these "class programmes", maybe involve the whole class? like use the CT periods to plan for it, like how we did last year. it can help improve relations. like perhaps when planning, just randomly call out someone and ask for his/her suggestion, to get those "sidelined" classmates more involved.
and the final issue, well yes it takes 2 hands to clap. I've tried to get the few of us to take part more in these things, but well, seems like they don't really have a good impression on certain people. It's very very difficult to coax them to say, join your for informal stuff like jalan jalan after the NSM/NMS visit, or returning home at the mrt. ur probably knew they disappeared very quickly in the other direction.
I'm trying pretty hard, encouraging them to just even tag along, but its hard as it is. It's no one's fault, due to the many factors involved. like lack of time together as a class, lack of communication, different viewpoints, etc etc. no use jabbing fingers at anyone or anything.
anyway, regarding this class issue, there's not much to do about it I guess. pretty pessimistic about this, seeing their reactions to certain suggestions offered. I would like to hear more of your comments and views though. thank you for your time. really appreciate it.

I applaud the random annonymous spineless neanderthal invertebrate for totally changing my ideas and the meanings expressed in my previous post into something totally negative and full of hatred in just 31 words on Dinie's tagbox. congrats, just a bit more training and you could become a politician.
anyway, the weekends were pretty >_< sat supposed to go out studying with kl and zy, but..... BOTH OF THEM CANNOT MAKE IT!!! ARGH!!! end up become jalan jalan with Lockie around AMK hut and Tampines. grabbed a HGUC GP02A from the hobby point there before going to yishun library to finish up the phy hmwk. then headed home.
HGUC GP02A. has an atomic warhead. yes, ZhenYu you have good taste, as good as mine lol.
haven't built him yet, but completed Hyaku Shiki's step-step gun. its AWESOME! so awesome I.... I think I'm in lurve with it.... the most fuck-win BFG in Zeta Gundam.
then did a bit of filing on Sunday morning, before diving into Mr hkaile's GP project. bleh, huge waste of time due to irrelevant google links. found out Mr hkaile's magic trick and its suddenly so much easier. that's y we must support Yahoo! lol.
now still cheonging the project. and bleh, kl cant return enuff $$$ in time. argh, my gunpla..... so near yet so far.... die die must grab at least the graham flag, else can go die!

sigh, its pretty sad. seeing the class, well... how do I put it, its like there's this HUGE DIVIDE, kinda like EFSF and Titans. both are essentially the same force, on the same side, but well they operate independently, and heck, the only thing they share is the stupid Jaburo base. Their MS are different, their paint schemes are different, basically everything is different.
218 is no different. just very recently, I saw the class doing things for 2 pretty major events: a classmate's birthday and V-day. how do I put it, for V-day its more or less just one group doing things for others in their group. homemade cards and all. I dunno about that one classmate from the other group who is giving out sponge roses to the class. maybe she only gave it to one group, maybe she gave it to the whole class, that I dunno. but either way, the divide is very obvious.
next up, a certain classmate's birthday. Of course, he's a great guy and all, and a good friend to not only me, but also others in the school. however, to have the class celebrate his special day, and not those of other classmates, its a bit... biased? I mean, we are all the same class, why discriminate against "classmates only" and "jalan-jalan after sch classmates" if you are doing such things as a class? in fact, its shocking to think that the organisers actually want the whole class to do something, when not everyone in the class gets the same treatment due to the group system. its exactly a copy of Zeta Gundam, where the Titans borrow the entire EFSF fleet and MS for their own purposes, then leave the EFSF to fend for itself against AEUG and KARABA.
ah well, not like complaining will change anything. just shut up-ed and wrote some
meaningful stuff wishing that classmate a happy birthday. I did voice it out once, but well there's no changes, so yeah....
its natural to have groups, and its also natural to not have extremely good relations and connections with everyone in the class. there's nothing wrong with that. but at the very least, do acknowledge that there's other classmates in the class as well. the whole EFF doesn't just consist of the Titans alone. there's still the EFSF. do things as a class, as a whole, don't leave out others. it's very sad to see 218 become a EFSF + Titans thing. why can't we have a EFSF + Londo Bell situation, where even though there's a clear divide between the 2 groups, both groups are still very interconnected, going about ensuring peace in the Earth Sphere together? why can't we go about doing things together, celebrating everyone's classmate irregardless of "groups"? you can have another celebration after school within your groups, that's fine, but in school, please don't leave out those not in your clique.
well, at the very least, it hasn't deteoriated to the EFSF + League Militaire situation....

been busy lately...
woo, CVD! or as I like to call it, syphillis day! dun mind my annoying habit selective hearing, makes this world a better place ^ ^
preparations were the toughest part I guess, with Hafiz, Ravin and I arguing about how to hang a stupid oversized banana leaf. so many logical stuff and etc thrown in, but ended up we just taped the [censored] leaf and hung it up. ah well, anything that works....
CVD itself, woo hectic. almost reminds me of my work, except I wasn't scopping rice. hot hot hot hot hot. got so burnt, reach home cannot play PS2 properly, fingers no feeling >_< band performance was simply put, beyond expectations. amazingly loud dynamics and perfect everything, to put it simply. YJCB sure have grown throughout the months I'm in it, bwahahaha. *thicked face* anyway, we received the most help from Sherman tank for CVD, blatantly shameless free advertising for our stall. well, hope he gets thanked properly by that 1 girl in our class ^ ^ else end up like me during my sec sch days, a bit sad lar....
ah, and the rest of the week. tuesday stepped on that puffy in-grown mushroom thingy or whatever you call it, those synthetic anthills found on our school track. almost landed face-first, if I hadn't turned to the side. fell down hard on my left elbow and slided a small distance. hmm, shld have turned even more, then can drift for say.... 5cm?
Wednesday! yeah, best day of the week. straight away cheong for bugis after CCA, cuz THE HUNT IT ON!!! Many many many thanks to Lockie, for finding, reserving, thriple-checking its the correct target, and also Jacintha, for the "backup", just in case its sold out, then still got some hope ^ ^
so yeah, managed to get the Exia conversion kit. $24.80 is pretty cheap, was expecting upwards of $30. now I just need to grab the kit to convert. damn.... oh well, CNY coming up, the 20% storewide discount should help....
rest of the week was just hanging on to dear life. hmwk is like WOOH, but somehow managed to finish it. like Zhenyu said, "nb 1/2hr can finish chem and geog, u too f-ing pro liao". yeah, thanks... -_-
and a couple of unexpected surprises. like 30/50 for the GP block test essay. it was like the worst essay I think I've written actually, where I was like using old points and faking it as a new point to hit the 3-1 ratio. somehow it turned out very very good O_o dunno lah, paper 2 was a complete disaster, which is well, not what I had expected.... geog, somehow the half-assed proposal managed to score full marks O_o again, unexpected.
ah today, went to workshop to spray. learned how to do shading, and Im a pretty fast learner I think. 1st piece is totally F-ed, but by the 5th piece, the effect is exactly the same as Ming Fa's demo piece. not bad not bad. which reminds me, I need to grab my own airbrush. high priority!
